Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I try the product before purchasing a license ?
Certainly. Download and install the Lotto Split application. Don't have a thermal printer ? No problem, as you can configure the lottery to display the numbers of your sold tickets on the screen instead of printing them.
  • I want to purchase a license. What should I do ?
Contact us. We will help you choose the type of license that suits you, and we will guide you through the purchase of the thermal printer. You will then receive a license number that you can enter after installing the application.
  • What happens if I change my mobile device or lose my mobile device ?
Your license is transferable at any time. Simply install the Lotto Split application on your new mobile device, then enter your license number again. A message will appear asking you to transfer the license from the old device to the new one. Answer in the affirmative, and your application will be functional again.
  • What thermal printer do you recommend ?
We recommend the STAR Micronics SM-230I printer designed to print multiple tickets and conduct multiple lotteries. To avoid being caught off guard, you can purchase a second, much less expensive printer (POS-5805DD) that can be used if the battery of your STAR printer is low. Both printers can be purchased online from various sales websites.
  • What type of paper roll should I buy, and where can I get them ?
Thermal printers use low-cost thermal paper rolls, available at office supply stores. You can also purchase them online. The printers we recommend use 2-1/4-inch thermal paper rolls.
  • Is it possible to use more than one point of sale (mobile device) per raffle ?
No. Our Ultimate version is not yet completed. This version will communicate with a master computer that assigns numbers. This will allow for multiple points of sale for the same raffle.
  • Do I need to be connected to the internet all the time to conduct my lottery ?
No. The Free, Standard, Pro and Ultimate editions are entirely self-contained. You can sell your tickets and conduct your draws entirely in offline mode.
